Poem: The Foe

Far away there lurks a fiersome foe,
whom no one but the ancients know,
so long ago, when earth was young.
His legendary legacy passed down--
with carnage, he usurped the crown,
so long ago, when earth was young.
But now the hero reigns, crowned once again,
with promises of peace for men.
How can they know, when all were wrong?
He wrote his own story and passed it on.
That handsome, kind, and loving son:
He is the foe! with serpent's tongue!
